Wandering around the wonderful hills of Himachal Pradesh is an exciting prospect for an adventure filled vacation while staying in Cedar Villas! The unexplored parts of this charming state can be quite rewarding because of the beauty one can find in small towns and villages. One such exciting journey is to the Spiti Valley.

The mesmerizing Journey to the Spiti Valley - How can you reach there from Mashobra and what can you expect? To travel to this cold desert area, one has to hail a bus from Shimla to Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti, or travel in their own vehicle. Located at a distance of 450 kilometers from Shimla, this journey will be a memorable one since you’ll encounter picturesque views of several villages and rivers on your way. From Shimla, one should travel up to Sarahan which further leads to the famous village of Chitkul, which has the most delicious apples and berries, then further up to the village of Kalpa. From Kalpa, the roads get rocky and one has to have an empty stomach to travel further to Tabo. A trek has to be taken to Kaza from Tabo which is the most exciting journey one can ever experience. The friendly locals will gladly help and even offer their homes to stay. Once in Kaza, the famous Ki Monastery is a good option to explore along with villages in the vicinity such as Kibber, Tashigong, Langza, Kaumik etc. The river Spiti running along this barren valley will make one realize the diverse nature we have in our country. The serenity of Spiti Valley cannot be explained in words but has to be experienced to understand it. So, we are saying, go experience the beautiful journey! .
